Return match against GUTS SC in a late night fixture at YCAC. At time of writing GUTS are sitting three points behind us in 3rd. So for them it'll be an important game as a win puts them in the seat for promotion. The same applies for us, in that a win keeps us level on points with SUNS in the top spot. So another important match for promotion and the champion title.

Last time out we managed to beat GUTS with 10... 9 players, and GUTS also reduced to 10. GUTS results are a bit erratic with a big win over SUNS at the start of the season and getting one over Dutch but also losing to Celts and a battering from Sala. In most cases their results are consistent to their league position so we should be up for this game. Also there is some revenge for their smashing of Lions 6 - 0 in the FJC plate.

Notable GUTS have two high scoring players Kishi Kauhiro and Yuuki Sekine on 8 and 6 a piece in the D2 scoring rankings. Also GUTS have the third highest goals for behind SUNS and SALA on 31, but have also shipped 24 against implying an attacking mentality to try and score more than you can, rather than prevent you from scoring more.

Previous games against GUTS have been bad tempered. From experience this is also because they like to cheat a lot, and we are not shy to point this out. Cheating being: grabbing players, pretending to be grabbed and falling over to win freekicks, pushing or pulling markers off balance at set pieces. Basically they play football with their arms more than their feet. This obviously heats up a match unless the referee is smart enough not to get tricked by these tactics. We need to play hard against GUTS but not reduce ourselves to their style of cheating, and try to make the referee aware of their dark arts playing style.

Lions are also playing at YCAC before us from 16:30 so let's get along early and give Lions some support.
