The final end of season finale was a tough game but with many strong performances. In the first half especially BEFC where the stronger side, defensively shutting down anything Sala threw at them giving the offence a solid platform to raid in the final third. Making a cameo appearance for the special occasion at center back James Pounder certainly showed why it was his original position, marshalling the back-line with strong communication, excellent cut outs and really good deliveries forward to the attackers. In fact, with recent discussions about generating build up play from the back, Pounder showed that this is something he is very effective at and dropping deep made himself available to be used in this style through-out the match.
There was a spread of MOM nominations, and the general discussion was that every player had put in a strong performance making the final call a tough and close one. But especially for the first half domination, the organising from the back and adding the further edge in build up play James Pounder is the Adecco BEFC Man of the Match.
