BEFC vs Syu Syu Aoyama (Video)

Match Highlights, including a spectacular free kick by the 'other' team and a fine, new hairstyle, of BEFC vs Syu Syu Aoyama, June 2015.
BEFC dominated early on and were courteous enough to negotiate a yellow card for the Syu Syu keeper down from a red with the ref in the early moments of the match.

The goalie had run out to prevent a long through ball and caught it outside his area. Since this prevented a clear goal scoring chance it was a sending off offence. However BEFC felt this would spoil a good game of football. However the quick free-kick and goal was disallowed, and the subsequent retake missed. In the driving seat at that point BEFC were thinking a goal would soon come their way and soon did with a smooth ball played through to maestro Ken Takahashi. However their honorable behaviour was soon to bite back like a Game of Thrones Ned Stark beheading!

After the let off and being put on the sword, Syu Syu started picking up their game with slick direct passing through the midfield taking the inititiative away from BEFC. Getting into shooting range, Syu Syu let fly a long shot that snuck under the crossboard much to the frustration of keeper Theo Hayes, who subsequent went to punch a goalpost.

In an attempt to put things back in order Ewan Walton decided to lay down some midfield justice, only to arrive shockingly late to gift Syu Syu a free kick on the edge of the box. Syu Syu stepped up and scored possibly the best free-kick BEFC had seen all season. BEFC then knew it was going to be one of those matches.

A few midfield substitutions later and Syu Syu were running through it like a hot vindaloo through paper. The triangulate of the Syu Syu midfield, signified in their very team logo was causing too much running amok, and breaking through to overwhelmed the defence and somewhat luckily score with a rebound blocked by the keeper, rebounding back off the striker, then the center back's arm before into the goal.

Although the Syu Syu dominance of midfield made it feel somewhat deserved, BEFC also felt some kind of ironic hoodoo was at work like a harsh GRR Martin style lesson that in the gritty real world of TML football good sportsmanship means you lose!

However seeing this also as a challenge for the bulldog spirit some serious rearrangment and sacrifices to the substitions gods was made at half time making sure of a solid midfield. BEFC came out swinging and after continued pressure finally got a goal back thanks to the ever dangerous running and personification of the Bull Dog spirit, Jorge Marenco.

With a comeback in mind the game became increasingly fraught, including a tone setting and spectacular studs up flying kick into the BEFC captain's shoulder from the Syu Syu striker, which somehow escape any caution at all.

Try as they might BEFC couldn't fashion the equaliser from their growing chances and the match finished 2 - 3 to Syu Syu.

Overall a solid and entertaining match.
