Adecco MVP MIFA Embassy Cup - Kentaro Takahashi

  • Adecco BEFC MIFA Embassy Cup MVP - Kentaro Takahashi

This must be the absolute closest we have come to being all lame-o-tron 6000 and naming the whole team as MOTM as 5 of the 8 were nominated by team mates (and Bran, the traitor). It was Ken, however, who just nudged it over the line with 3 votes, followed closely by my lovely self (Captain Caner) and Aurele, who helped to turn the vital final group game with an assist and a goal as we were 2-0 down, finishing 3-2 to take our place in the final. Ken, however, was the touch of class needed at times when results were being ground out, and it was his penalty kick that ensured victory. A close contender for MVP in the previous MIFA tournament, only losing due to some quality keeping from then goalkeeper Theo.
Ken thoroughly deserves the award, if only for bravely nominating himself to take the kick whilst others (ie. me) said 'im not bl**dy taking one'. Well done Alex, Aurele, Go, Barry, Jon, Tim, and Ken though, quality effort, though as I say in the victory speech, 'I still don't know how we did it!'.

Kentaro Takahashi is the Adecco BEFC MVP for the MIFA Embassy Cup 2015.
