Adecco MVP BEFC Lions vs King George - Kazushi Komatsu

  • Kaz Komatsu Adecco MVP King George

BEFC Lions faced their self-declared rivals, King George FC after the first leg saw a crazy 6-4 victory for the Lions.

King George were looking for revenge, but were completely dismantled by the Lions in their best game so far this season.

The team was perfectly balanced, with a confident and formidable defence, a mobile midfield, and a fierce attack.

The first half saw Charles Mitchell leading the line, bullying King George defenders and scoring with a fierce shot. Vice-captain Kaz scored his first goal, with Ryota adding a third before half-time.

BEFC Lions had been in the lead before, so the focus in the half-time team talk was to focus and not get complacent. Starting in the same vein as the first half, the Lions attacked, with Kaz scoring his second goal with a superb finish after latching onto Viran’s through-ball.

King George scored a consolation goal after one of their free-kicks just outside the box luckily hit one of their players in the face putting it past goalkeeper Yu who deserved a clean sheet.

A great game where many players excelled. Honourable mentions go to Arthur who marshalled the defence well, Richard who disrupted the opponents in midfield, and Ririo who terrorized the left flank and was unlikely not to score.

However, the Adecco MVP for this game has to be Kaz for his lethal finishing up-top as he cements his status as player’s player of the season and current BEFC Lions top-scorer.
