BEFC Lions faced new team K2 Expendables for a sunny afternoon kick off.

With a magnificent sunset and a view of Mount Fuji, things started badly as goalkeeper Yu decided to pick the side which meant the Lions had the sun in their eyes for the first 20 minutes of the game. Unsurprisingly, the team were quickly 2-0 down.

As the sun went down, chins stayed up. This was largely due to a magnificent goal from Charles, who took the ball on his chest after a long punt from Masa in defence, turned and walloped one over the keeper from about 20 yards out.

With the introduction of Baptiste up front, the opposition couldn’t deal with the change in rhythm, and his goal meant that the Lions equalized by half time.

In the second half, Tsukasa carried the ball from his right-back position and dribbled into the opposition box, skipping a number of challengers before squaring the ball for Yuta to bury into the net.

The whole team protected the 1 goal lead to finish the game 3-2.

For his worldie that inspired a great comeback, the Adecco MVP for this game is Charles Mitchell.
