Getting their pre-season underway, BEFC shellshocked Kodansha with a 6 - 0 revenge. This was a great team display with everyone communicating and working together to play the tactics, keep the shape and create strong linked up play, passing patterns across the park. Man of the Match was hotly contested and it came down to the Captain's final decision as Naoki Tanabe and Alo Sakk both put in excellent performances. Alo was an attacking menace linking up play on the left midfield, and getting himself into the box and dangerous positions to finish off the moves - netting a hat trick! However the finisher was just pipped to the MOM by the creator. Played as the defensive midfielder and deep lying playmaker Noki excelled in the role of carving open space and opportunities for his team mates, controlling play from the back. Also defensively he shut down the strikers looking to slip between the space between the midfield and the back line, showing great positioning as well as when to tackle and when to drop off. With this all round impressive performance in all areas of the game, and the orchestrator of the offense from deep Naoki 'Noki' Tanabe is Adecco BEFC Man of the Match!!!
