Adecco MOM BEFC vs King George - Kazushi Komatsu

  • Adecco BEFC Man of the Match Award - Kazushi Komatsu

BEFC spent a lot of their time against King George camped in the George's half trying to carve a path through a stubborn and packed defence. Then covering back to shut down the attempts of a counter attack, before pressuring on with the attack. Kazushi Komatsu completed the 'Triple K' midfield strike triangle making some excellent defence splitting passes time and time again, and covering intelligently the spaces left in midfield when the BEFC attack got over enthusiastic. He also knew where to be to turn in the opening goal, again showing understanding of space and reading the game. There were plenty of good performances and in the second half some of the passing and possession was really a step up for BEFC. As duly noticed from the sidelines for his effort in aggressive tackling, ball winning, covering and especially great passing - Kazushi Komatsu is the Adecco BEFC Man of the Match.

Special mentions could go to a lot of players who all showed strongly, but we'd like to mention the impressive job Shun Ishihara did covering and bossing the entire midfield in front of the backline when the attack got over zealous and all pushed up to the opposition's penalty area for large parts of the game.
