With a slightly irregular line up, the match vs Clash was as anticipated a fiesty physical match against a big team with a lot of height. The danger was always going to come from the air, which it inevitably did. However despite the height advantage one man ruled the skies, and that was Ewan Walton. As well as strong tackling and all round good play, Ewan had strapped into his Top Gun rocket pants and continued to win almost every ball that dropped down into the midfield. So much so the opposition first tried putting two men on him - it failed, and then they vocally agreed to give up and instead attack the flanks. In the challenge for the midfield, due to the height advantages, it was Ewan alone versus three big opposition each time which made it even more spectacular as he continued to win everything.
This made a huge impact on Clash's approach, since they couldn't rely on going through the middle of the pitch and using high balls from goal kicks. For a very outstanding domination in of the 'Danger Zone', one in which the opposition admitted defeat during play --- Ewan Walton is the Adecco BEFC Man of the Match!
