The entire effort was a seamless team performance, with everyone in the squad doing exactly what was required of them and doing it well. This as normal makes choosing an MVP a tricky business, but as always, even in the face of a true team performance there can still only be one! Post tournament nominations gave credit to everyone but also focused on BEFC debutante Tsukasa Katase, who took up a right wing back style role and time and time again was called upon to challenge and chase down pacing wingers looking to gain space. Katase's workrate was exceptional and he wore the red face of someone who had ran their own Spartan Race on the football pitch. Katase was both a defensive killer and a potent attacking threat as he pushed forward smartly with the play to trigger counters and create options for team mates. Furthermore as the defensive unit, he listened and communicated well with the back-line which was vital to cover overloads and tricky threats, and also provided the quick outlet for build up play from plenty of quick short goal kicks.

For a fantastic and seamless debutante performance Tsukasa Katase is the Adecco BEFC MVP for BEFC Red in the FCJ Charity Soccer 7s!
