This match everyone played great with many unsung heroes. However there can be only one MOM and in this match the most important thing was to get the opening goal. With the most outrageous halfway line lob from half time kick off, the BEFC MOM is - Kentaro Takahashi! There were a lot of plaudits for the defence keeping Imperio's speed demons under control and an impressive first match for Naruaki Arai. However the defence felt they'd had a tougher time and better performances against other opposition and the key to this game was cracking Imperio's defence - especially with their goalkeeper showing ridiculous skills. Once Imperio had to commit players into attack and could no longer rely on counters it changed the match, opening up the gates for more goals for BEFC. As well as Ken's crazy long range goal, he worked hard constantly chasing and harassing the Imperio back-line, had a number of duels with their goalkeeper forcing the keeper to somehow dribble out of danger, and possibily deserved a few penalty shouts for some dubious challenges in the box.
