MOM - BEFC vs Dutch FC - Takanori Nakayama

The game notes read 'Give the ball to Takanori, he's a genius', and Takanori certainly showed why. His control, pin point passing, ability to dictate the play and magical goals out of nowhere earns Takanori the BEFC Man of the Match against the Dutch.

However it was a very close decision, as it was Ewan Walton coming into the midfield midway in the first half that appeared to change the game and our team performance. Adding that steel and ball winning in the middle of the park gave the space for other members to get control on the game. He continued to challenge and win balls all through the game, owning that important space between the attack and defensive line. Also scoring the first goal helped a bit too.

The win over the Dutch was a fantastic team performance that shows how good we can be when everyone increases their intensity and clicks together. At the beginning of the game we struggled, and it was Dutch winning the headers, the second balls and putting us under pressure. Once we got stuck into them it allowed us to move the ball around, control the game, be dangerous and once we got into our groove we didn't stop. Instead it was impressive as late in the second half more and more players become even more alive and dangerous. That was also special, maintaining our concentration and drive even when 5 - 0 up, we didn't stop.

Well done to everyone. I think that was our best performance so far this season.
