BEFC Golden Boot 2015 - Kentaro Takahashi

  • BEFC Golden Boot 2015 - Kentaro Takahashi

Congratulations to Ken, winning the BEFC Golden Boot as top scorer for 2015 with 9 goals and notably the now legendary goal from the half way line versus Imperio FC.
Ken arrived at the start of January opening his scoring with a goal from a direct corner, inswinging into the back corner. He then notched up a hat trick against King George before continuing his fine goal scoring run. With a short break at the start of the season while he exhibited artwork, Ken returned to battle the Golden Boot back from Jorge over the last two matches of which they were tied on 7 a piece. Netting against King George, and Jorge being denied by a spectacular save, Ken then made sure the boot fit his foot with a penalty against BFC Vagabonds.

Runner up was goal machine Jorge with 7 goals who was denied making it difficult for Ken by having his fantastic strike stopped by the KG keeper and being unable to play vs Vagabonds due to work and acquiring a Marenco yellow.

Also hot on the pace was Kaz Fushimi who although only starting this season has already totalled 3 goals, and possibly more if not the Syu Syu Aoyama woodwork.
All in all goals have been scored by 15 different members of the BEFC squad in 2015, showing we can score from all over the pitch and not reliant on a special striker.
