Adecco MVP BEFC vs Hibernian - Kentaro Takahashi

  • Adecco MVP BEFC vs Hibernian - Kentaro Takahashi

The final match of the season against champions Hibernian was a difficult task for BEFC, especially having no subs for the match. BEFC started the match with some players playing in unfamiliar positions due to last minute drop-outs but stayed compact and organized denying Hibs any clear opportunities. BEFC also showed good moves in attack and after 25 minutes, a beautiful pass whas headed home by Kentaro Takahashi giving BEFC the lead. Hibernian only conceded 5 goals so it was especially pleasing to see such beautiful execution against the best defense in the league. Hibs equalized after 5 minutes and scored the crucial second goal seconds before half time.

BEFC then played with 10 men the second half after an injury and couldn't cope with Hibernian's hunger for goals as their centre forward needed 3 goals to get the league's golden boot. A penalty kick by Tsukasa Katase gave BEFC their second goal a minute before the end of the match to finish the match with a smile after a hard fought match.

Kentaro Takahashi is the MVP for this match as he single-handedly gave Hibernian's defense a lot to worry about with his incisive runs, excellent vision and a knack for scoring goals against the best team in the league. A master-class in how to hold the ball as a striker!!
