First of all a BEFC Award for everyone who turned up to play in such horrible conditions. The gloomy, freezing wet rain signalled a match in which nothing wanted to go our way. Whether it was early chances, decisions, offsides, disallowed goals the small things all add up. And it's in these conditions we have to push harder and lead by example. No one did this better than Ewan Walton who bossed, challenged relentlessly putting in a massive shift in midfield. Especially in the second half, when we needed as much fire as possible to inspire the very near comeback, Ewan went on an absolute tear all over the park,  initiating and joining attacks as well as covering and tackling - rallying the people around him. The impact was massive and he pushed himself until there was nothing left in the tank. He had to request the substitution because there was no way we wanted him off at that point!
In these types of matches not only do we have to dig deep ourselves, but find extra for the entire team to rally with and this is why Ewan Walton is the Adecco BEFC Man of the Match!
