BEFC flexed its club might winning 3rd place in the AMIA Intl. Futsal competition. 
With BEFC's 11s team playing a match in Soga the same time, Captain Chin led the BEFC Futsal team into the annual embassy tournament hunting for trophies.

Pitted in group A, BEFC were up against Russia, Korea, AMIA FC and Paraguay on their route to glory. An opening 1 - 3 loss to Paraguay was blamed on lack of warming up time, and probably also the classic BEFC start to any tournament, but with Aurele Docquin netting the first goal, giving BEFC confidence against a strong opponent. Shaking off that tradition, BEFC went on to beat Korea 2-1, Russia 2-1 and drawing 2-2 with AMIA FC putting them on 7 points and placing them second behind the group winner Paraguay. 
This put BEFC into the semi finals where they got they lost to Group B winners Ecuador 0-2, and back for a revenge match against Ecuador for 3rd place. Ecuador also losing their semi final match against MOFA. Now fully warmed up BEFC saw off Paraguay 1-0 to take home 3rd place and another trophy for the BEFC collection.

After the tournament the team went onto play Korea in a 7 aside friendly which they won 5-3, proving again their success had nothing to do with luck.
It was a good day for BEFC with the 11s team also coming home victorious, beating Lions 2 - 0.
